Forgotten Blog

This is our winter vacation during Christmas Break 2017-18.

I was cleaning and found the address for this blog and another that I started in 2008 or so, and thought I would see if I could remember how to blog.  I guess I had better either try harder or let it go as with many things in my life.  The other blog was more pathetic than this one, I was quite impressed with my work on this one.

9-11 Ten Years later

Posted by PicasaToday was a great day of remembrance, patriotism, and honor for heros who have always stood up for our country. I am grateful for all who have given life, and loved ones in defense of freedom.

Hebgen with the Girls.

We got to take all of J & B's girls to Hebgen over the 24th weekend.

We also got in a short visit to West yellowstone.
They all got along, they were happy, kind and gave Grandpa B a good dose of little girl.
Em was extra sweet and helpful to Miss K.

..

Grandpa took us to our own little beach across from the campground.

The water was too cold to play in except right near shore and the wind kept us cool as well.

Between Grandma and Emily helping Miss K had quite the hairdo.

Fishing with Colby

Grandpa B, Colby and I spent a fun weekend at Hebgen. Sometimes when Brian is fishing with boys he over does it and the fishing goes on and on. We did do a lot of fishing and they were able to catch a few. It's fun to see them have fun with their fish.

Colby playing with two of his fish.

C found this great old dead tree to climb.

In between the fishing we got to spend some time in West Yellowstone for pizza and a play. We saw the play "The Foreigner" a comical play set in the '50's-60's era with reference to the KKK. We also went for a drive north towards Big Sky and visited an interesting cemetary.

Chesterfield and the 4th

Chesterfield Reservoir on the 2nd of July was a fun day of fishing. We caught fish regularly, it was not too hot or cold, the g-kids were great and so was the day. After the fishing we toured the pioneer town of Chesterfield. The town is abandoned but being restored, it was fun to look around. We'll have to go back when there are volunteers around giving tours. This is the Assembly Hall.
At the last minute I invited everyone to come down and have dinner on the 3rd. K & N went home and brought the Bonzai back, it was a hit. Later we fought the wind but the fireworks were great.

Hebgen June11-13

There is something appealing about green and trees compared to tan and sagebrush. This was another cold weekend but even though the fishing went on and on I was not as discontent as I was at Naughtin. M & B tried and tried to catch them all but only came home with 4 and let the rest go. The fishing was still a little slow but they seemed happy and the weekend went too fast.Patience pays off.

Lake Viva Naughtin

I was really glad Mr. T and Kash showed up to liven up the camping/fishing trip to Viva Naughtin. Do you see the wonderful sage-brush hills surrounding the lake. Do you see how warmly we were dressed. The fishing was slow but T caught a few and was very cute about it. Q & T, K, N, and K arrived and broke up the long weekend for me.

A collage of the scenery, I did get in a short hike/walk but next time I'd better have a really great book or plan a fun weekend at home.
